Celebrex Heart Stroke

Recently, it has been found that there may evidence to support a link between taking Celebrex and heart and stroke risks.  The claim states that Celebrex can cause the formation of blood clots. This can lead to a heart attack or stroke.

Celebrex is a painkilling drug prescribed for the treatment of conditions like arthritis.  The Celebrex heart and stroke risks were first monitored closely in light of the recent Vioxx recall, with concerns that this popular anti-inflammatory may also have negative effects.

According to research sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, individuals saw a drastic change when taking 400 to 800mg a day of Celebrex.  Heart and stroke problems nearly doubled.  The FDA has issued a warning regarding potential Celebrex heart and stroke issues if patients use the medication for an extended period of time.

For now, the FDA has concluded that the benefits of the drug outweight the potential Celebrex heart and stroke dangers, and it has not been pulled from the shelves just yet.

The obvious question is:  do Celebrex users have other options?  Yes, fortunately you do have alternatives to treat your pain that do not include the use of Celebrex.  Heart and Stroke issues are extremely serious and prevention is the best treatment.  Reputable vitamin and supplement manufacturers supply a surplus of natural anti-inflammatory treatments.  Pain suffers can avoid the Celebrex heart and stroke side effects by not “tricking” the body into not receiving pain signals, but by going straight to the cause of the main and strengthening and rebuilding connective tissue.

Despite the FDA's decision to leave Celebrex on the market, whether the Celebrex heart and stroke risks outweigh its effectiveness in treating pain remains to be fully tested.
